Another year is coming to an end, and we would like to share an update on what we have accomplished and what lies ahead for Cybercampus Sverige.

Another year is coming to an end, and we would like to share an update on what we have accomplished and what lies ahead for Cybercampus Sverige.

We are proud looking back at 2025! This year, we have taken major steps in developing our operations in close collaboration with partners and stakeholders. In March, we completed and published our strategies for education, research, and innovation – a true milestone. We have initiated several important collaborations, hosted visitors, and been invited to present our mission and activities at conferences and seminars in both Sweden and abroad.

Here are some highlights we would like to share:

The Partnership Program is up and running

We have launched our partnership program, and so far, 20 organizations from academia, the public sector, and private industry across Sweden have entered into formal partnerships with Cybercampus. Many more have expressed their intention to join. A partnership coordinator has been recruited.

Important steps forward within the field of Education

We have compiled a catalogue of cybersecurity courses and training for public and private organisations. Highlights include a custom program for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ diplomatic training, and participation in the EU project CYCERONE aimed at cybersecurity training for SMEs and the public sector.

Great interest in the Cybercampus Graduate School

The Expressions of Interest for the Cybercampus Graduate School were a great success – fifteen Swedish universities have committed to recruiting and co-funding 15 PhD projects in the Cybercampus Graduate School. This will be Sweden’s first national graduate school in cybersecurity – we are making history! During 2025, we also enabled research projects on topics such as language models and more.

We hosted CyberSweden 2025

Our debut conference hosted by Chalmers University of Technology in September, was a great success, laying a strong foundation for future events.

Individual highlights

When asking team members about their personal highlights, one recalls the many initiatives for children and young people, the cybersecurity force of the future. For example, we participated in the Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day , and the youth branch of the voluntary defence organisation FRO  came to Cybercampus for courses and school holiday activities. Another one says, “The Board Pizza Night!” – when leaders from business and public life came to Cybercampus to help design training courses for board members and decision-makers. A night with a fantastic and constructive atmosphere! One team member is particularly proud of our hosting of the Swedish IT Security Seminar (SWITS) 2025, where we welcomed more than 100 PhD students and researchers from universities and research centres across Sweden, presenting Cybercampus and the Royal Hacking Lab  to them.

Looking ahead to 2026

We expect nothing less than an equally eventful year ahead! At the end of January, we will kick off the Cybercampus Startup Program. The Graduate School is expected to gain momentum over the next six months. Together with stakeholders, we will continue to develop and deliver courses and training events. Our network of partners will continue to grow. We will host, attend and contribute to many exciting workshops, seminars, and conferences. Additionally, we will be initiating planning for a major event in 2028, and much more…

But first, the holidays. We wish you a wonderful end to 2025 and a calm start to the new year!
